Sleep and social INTERACTION study

 

STUDY OVERVIEW

The University of California, Berkeley’s SIR Lab is recruiting participants for a study on how sleep quality impacts people’s social interactions. The SASI Study (Sleep And Social Interactions Study) has three parts:
1) Complete background and demographic questionnaires
2) Half of participants will complete an in-home partial sleep deprivation over the course of two nights
3) Participants will engage in various social and analytical tasks on Zoom using audio and video, which will be recorded

 

ELIGIBILITY

In order to be eligible for this study, participants must meet the following criteria:

  • 18-30 years old

  • Fluent in English

  • No known sleep disorders (such as insomnia or sleep apnea)

  • Not working night shifts or swing shifts

  • Not be in the third trimester of pregnancy or living with children under the age of 2

  • In the Pacific time zone

 

COMPENSATION

Participants who complete all three parts of this study will receive $105.00 in the form of a digital Amazon gift card. A detailed compensation breakdown is below.
